I am considering the opportunity to run this fall as a School Trustee candidate because I care deeply about strong public schools, supportive learning environments, and responsible decision-making. I am hoping to hear from others in Victoria their ideas, feedback and lived experiences regarding the Greater Victoria School District. 

I have lived in Victoria for 14 years with my wife, who is a teacher, and our two children, who love their time at school. I have gained diverse experience from my position as a director in the BC public service, my role as an active PAC member, and my experience in the environmental sector. This experience I feel I would be able to use, if I have the opportunity, to support SD61. I am confident in my ability for collaboration, long-term planning, and navigating complex decisions responsibly. 

School trustees have the opportunity to help ensure students, families, and educators are supported by a school system, which is inclusive, transparent, and focused on student success.
